Enjoy the Small Things....

Why is this concept so hard to grasp?  Just the other day I backed into a parked car, and I thought that was the dumbest thing a person could do. When I realized I should be happy that I have a car! What about when you take a shower and the water is just luke warm rather than hot? Some people don't even have running water. Helllllllooooooooooo instant attitude change.

Which reminds me of that quote that every girl, at one point or another, has plastered all over their notebooks, locker, and room.

"Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain"

How true is that quote? We all face adversity in our life (which sucks) but it's how WE react to it. When something bad happens to you are you going to feel sorry for yourself? Or are you going to learn how to 'dance in the rain'?  It all sounds too simple. Don't sit and wonder why you? BE GRATEFUL THAT IT WAS YOU.
Which brings me to my next point, everyone acts how they do because of their past. Am I right? If you have a broken heart from some stupid boy, you are going to be a lot more careful about who you get close to. If someone comes off rude and almost too good for you there  probably is a reason for that! They've probably been hurt before. BE KIND TO EVERYONE.  Try it!  ...(I'll try it too). Don't let your past make you bitter.

My friend Brad and I were talking the other night and I was like why are you so nice all the time? To everyone all the time? And he said this,

" Well every single person has something good about them. There is bad and good in everyone, but you pick the good qualities you want to learn from them. If you focus on the good you forget about the bad."
And then IT HIT ME. I need to be more like him. If you meet people and instantly find something good about them. You won't have time to find something that you hate about them.

There you have it. And remember there will be better days. (Goo Goo Dolls reference)

Until next time,

Bree
